![]() Since 4 years I am working on Deisim on my spare time, on evenings and during weekends and I try to do my best to use that small amount of available time to improve the game. Display boxes with names for all traded resources Prevent the player to go below the ground when he change his size or move with the god locomotion 3d movement option Teleport distance change with to the scale of the player Replaced or improved many sounds effects Added a visual and audio feedback when the player try to perform a miracle and doesn't have enough mana Display a message when a new Deity rank has ben reached and new miracles are unlocked Crafter buildings are now replaced by factories when a city reach industrial age or superior Arabic and African cities now produce jewels with gold Nordic cities now produce weapons with iron European and Asian cities now produce tools with copper Humans are now stuck and call for help when they are in deep water tiles Humans are now able to swim in plain water tiles Humans will do their best to avoid swamps Added a new miracle to provide Stone since the mountains can no longer play that role Humans are no longer able to travel across mountains Humans are no longer able to walk on empty tiles Allow to play baseball with human and trees What's new?- Improved human AI and better pathfinding If they have a good relationship they will sign trade agreements and exchange resources to progress together but if their relation is bad they will fight each other and try to conquer all the cities of their enemies. Kingdoms will also have relations between each other. The Prince and Princesses for each cultures Let the kingdoms rise and fall like a peaceful God or provoke their faith by throwing Kings and Heirs in the void of space. But there is a catch : every new child in the capital have a chance of being an heir of the throne and like all heirs they all want to be king so when the king die the realm is split amongst the heirs of the kingdom. The kingdom will do it's best to expand it's territory and become bigger and bigger over time. A leader will be chosen automatically and the faith of the kingdom will be tied to the faith of this leader. ![]() In the Kingdom update you will be able to create Kingdoms by using a special miracle to any city in the game. To deal with this, a good old dose of fire or locusts can convince the heretics the error of their ways and show them that yours is the true faith.Let me introduce you the Kingdom Update : Towns will inevitably begin to spawn heretics who if given too much leeway, will convert their town into a heretic faith, eventually causing them to wage wars of conquest on their neighbours. Although indirect interaction is mainly how you grow your world, direct interaction is possible too, such as picking up villagers and buildings, or casting spells directly on things to either help or hinder the villagers. The villages will then use the environmental resources you’ve placed to grow and prosper, and eventually evolve into small towns, leading to more believers and more mana. So anyway, the emphasis is on the placement of land tiles that you use to shape the environment, which then leads to tribal villages popping up. And in fact, one mind blowing consideration is that even in its current Early Access stage, Deisim is already a better game than Godus, despite being made by just one guy. ![]() Actually, on the surface Deisim kind of makes me think of Godus, except this is actually a good game. It’s neither Black and White nor Populous, but that’s okay because Deisim actually manages to carve out it’s own identity as a God game somewhere in between.
